Flow cytometry is an instrument for multi-parameter, rapid quantitative analysis and sorting of cells or biological particles in a fast straight-line flow state. It has become a very important instrument in the diagnosis of blood cells and cancer. The optical principle is that a light spot of about 22*66 microns, slightly larger than the diameter of the cell, formed after shaping, is irradiated on the cells carrying the fluorescein label in the flow cell. The marker is excited by the laser and generates fluorescent signals of different wavelengths representing different substances in the cell. These signals are centered on the cell and emitted to a 360-degree solid angle in space, resulting in scattered light and fluorescent signals. Fluorescent signals of different wavelengths are fed to different electron detectors through an optical system. The parameter information of the complete cell or biological particle is obtained.
